Ray Boltz

...Is alive!!

Apparently, Megan thought he was dead.

One of my friends once had a dream that Mary Lou Retton died and was convinced that this was real. When she woke up, she was really concerned and told her roommate, "Sarah, Mary Lou Retton died." Sarah did not believe her so they looked it up and saw that she was in fact, alive. Ever since then, whenever we see Mary Lou Retton on TV, or in the news, we say, "Jenny, Mary Lou Retton is still alive!"

Anyways, back to Ray Boltz.

Tony spent part of his post-college career playing piano for a church in Eureka, Illinois. Playing for the church meant also accompanying any singers, including one notable soloist whom decided to sing "Thank You" by Ray Boltz. Poor guy was hopelessly tone-deaf and sounded sort of sleepy, like he was yawning half the lyrics. I never knew the singer's name until today. Check out the before and after pictures:

I think he looks like a slightly chubby Yanni in the first picture and Howie Mandel's evil twin in the second. You can't tell in the second picture, but his eyes are a really bright, disturbing blue that follows you around the room when the picture's enlarged.

Oh well, I've killed enough time for today.

Stinker, out.

So, I totally thought that Mary Lou was dead. After I was convinced that she was alive, Sara and I hung a tribute to her on our door. We changed the words from everyone's favorite Easter hymn "Because He Lives" to "Because SHE Lives" and also posted a picture of America's favorite gymnast from the 80s.
