The Golden Compass

...was fabulous. The book, that is. There's a bear fight, which sounds really funny when you say it out loud. Try it.

"The Subtle Knife" is turning out to be pretty fabulous, as well.

At New Year's, I consumed the following:

-1 Bud Light
-1 glass of Martini & Rossi Asti
-1 Italian beef sandwich
-a gallon of Chex Mix
-about a quarter of a loaf of beer bread with dip
-10 crackers with dip
-white chocolate popcorn
-1 Excedrin
-breakfast casserole (in the morning)
-more Chex Mix

So, I had a pretty bad stomachache all of New Year's Day...I couldn't see that coming from 100 miles away.
