Blast from the Past!

As many of you may or may not know, I am a huge fan of the celebrity gossip site, Pink is the New Blog. It's kind of like Perez Hilton in that Trent (the blog's author) writes about celebrity gossip, but he's actually funny and kind in his repartee, unlike Perez's often scathing, juvenile reviews.

Anyways, Trent always blogs about his daily whereabouts at the end of the day's posts, and yesterday had posted a bunch of pictures of him at The Hills MTV premiere. One of the pictures was of him and his friend "Mo"/Monique. She looked exactly like a girl I went to high school with, except her hair had been curly back then.

Sooo...because I am really curious, I decide to drop him an email asking him if she is from Naperville, Illinois and he was incredibly prompt! He sent the following email an hour later:

thank you for the kind compliment ... i'm glad you like :)

yes, my Mo is Monique Masghati and she is fabulous ... I will forward your email to her and maybe you two can catch up :)

So sweet! And crazy!! I had mentioned in the email I loved his blog and got Dulsey hooked on it as well. :) Haha, I don't know if she'll really remember me because we had mutual friends, but I think I only spoke with her 2-3 times and we might have had Spanish I together. But, that'll be cool if she does email back, even if it's just because she's curious. :)

I was so flattered he wrote back also because he's a minor celebrity; he hangs out with a bunch of them and is always at this or that premiere and interviewing various actors/actresses. So, if I use the six degrees (of Kevin Bacon, hehehe), I am connected to Monique, who is connected to Trent, who is connected to [insert celebrity name here I will put in Milo's]. :)
